Sandebeck

Sandebeck (Sandelbeck, Sandenebyke, Sannanabiki, Sendenebyke) is a small rural village in the southern part of the Teutoburger forest und has been officially document the first time in 1031.

In the year 1924  Sandebeck had 120 households with overall 711 persons (thereof 692 catholics, 19 evangelic [reformed]). Source is the Personenstandsaufnahme [recording of persons] of October,10th 1924 (from the “Heimatbuch Kreis Höxter”, 1st part, 1925).

In the year 1983 Sandebeck had 1014 inhabitants (Source: “Festschrift und Chronik aus Anlaß des 100 jährigen Bestehens der SPAR- und DARLEHENSKASSE eG Steinheim”, 1983).
